Originally published by FinSMEs on July 19, 2022

Kizik, a Salt Lake City, UT-based world leader in hands-free shoes, and its parent, HandsFree Labs, Inc., completed a $20m Series B funding round.

The round was led by The Newcastle Network, a consumer-focused private equity fund combining expertise in data science, creator & social media marketing, innovation, and entrepreneurship to help companies unlock new levels of growth.

The company will use the funds to launch a Kizik Kids line and create a retail footprint with Kizik stores.

Led by Monte Deere, CEO, Kizik is a brand that uses HandsFree Labs’ portfolio of more than 100 patents and patents pending to create shoes for men and women – and soon kids. In addition to kids shoes, Kizik soon will launch hands-free high tops and Chelsea boots.

HandsFree Labs Inc. previously entered an intellectual property licensing partnership with Nike.
