Kins, a NYC-based hybrid-care physical therapy platform, raised $4m in seed funding.

The round, which brought the total raised to date to $7.2m, was led by W Health Ventures, with participation from angels in the medical field. The joined existing shareholder Redesign Health.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its hybrid model of in-home and virtual care delivery and expand into new markets.

Founded in 2021 at Redesign Health and led by Dan Smith, CEO, Kins is a digital-first, hybrid care physical therapy practice. Offering a hybrid model of in-person and virtual care, the company enables therapists and patients to collaborate in creating a course of care designed around the patient’s needs.

Kins launched in New York in September 2021 with partnerships including Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthCare. They have launched in Boston, adding Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim and Optum Care. Kins is hiring and partnering in New York, Massachusetts, and additional markets in the months ahead.
