Helppy, a Helsinki, Finland-based provider of a tech platform for elderly home care, raised €3M in funding.

The round was led by Alliance Venture with participation from Icebreaker.vc, Johannes Schildt, the Co-Founder and CEO of Kry/Livi and Elias Aalto, the Co-Founder of Wolt.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach in Europe.

Led by CEO Richard Nordström, Helppy has developed a neighborhood care model, empowered by tech, as a new alternative to elderly home care. The company has developed a tech-empowered neighborhood model, which allows the senior to be visited by care givers. From Helppy, the family member gets personal, and affordable help for the aging parent, hassle-free.

For now, the company has helped nearly a thousand families in Finland and attracted over 5 000 nurses and personal assistants to sign up on the platform and offer their help to seniors in need.

The company is now expanding its operations to multiple European countries.
