Bateau, a Seattle startup that makes business intelligence software for senior living companies, raised a $4 million round led by CRV. Its software is specifically designed for the senior living industry — an estimated $69 billion market in the U.S., according to Bateau — and pulls data from various systems into a single interface. The 9-person startup is led by CEO and co-founder Paul Jarvis, who previously spent seven years at Palantir. His co-founder Henry Hutcheson was an engineer at FullStory and Amperity before launching Bateau with Jarvis in June 2019.
